Böcker stays put at SGX

Magnus Böcker’s contract as chief executive officer of the Singapore Exchange has been renewed by the bourse’s board of directors.

Magnus Böcker’s contract as chief executive officer of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) has been renewed by the bourse’s board of directors.

Böcker’s current term of service expires on 30 November 2012 and his new contract extends the CEO’s term to 30 June 2015.

“Given that the tensions and anxieties that have weakened global financial markets are likely to persist for some time yet, we are appreciative that Magnus has signed on for another term in office. He will provide known leadership for the SGX organisation in the uncertain times ahead,” said Chew Choon Seng, chairman of SGX.

Böcker joined SGX in December 2009.
