Interactive Data, a producer of low latency IT and market data feed services, says that it is expanding the availability of additional Japanese content via its consolidated feed.
In response to demand from firms for increased access to the Japanese proprietary trading systems, Interactive Data has added content from two of the leading systems, SBI Japannext and Chi-X Japan, to its consolidated feed. This will join with existing access to other local exchanges.
The financial information provider says that its content expansion and low-latency connectivity in Asia Pacific includes full 7ticks hosting capabilities in Tokyo and ticker plants in Hong Kong.7ticks is the brand name for Interactive Data’s global trading infrastructure services. A ticker plant is the software and infrastructure designed to lower latency over large geographic distances between trading venues and data centres.
Interactive Data has three such plants in the Asia-Pacific region, engineered to process up to 10 million messages per second and ensure latency is less than 10 milliseconds. The Hong Kong ticker plant helps with the latency when connecting up Asian venues for clients, who want to trade on all those markets and only use a single market data and infrastructure provider.
