Credit Suisse electronic trading expert transfers to UBS

Individual was previously managing directorhead of EMEA AES product and global execution services quant product EMEA at Credit Suisse.

Jonathan Tse has been appointed managing director, EMEA head of electronic trading quant analytics, platform and product at UBS, as he moves over from Credit Suisse.

In his new role, Tse is set to focus on growing algo platforms, as well as working in electronic trading for cash equities, global FX, and global exchange traded derivatives.

Prior to this role, he spent almost 17 years as managing director, head of EMEA AES product and global execution services quant product EMEA at Credit Suisse.

Speaking in an announcement on social media, Tse said: “What a ride it has been at CS, and while a little bittersweet in the end, there was plenty of good work, great opportunities and even better people along the way.

“[…] I’ve moved over to UBS to help grow and drive the algo platforms – working closely with the quant, product, development and business teams to make things even better!”

Recently, UBS has made a sweep of appointments following the completion of its Credit Suisse merger, a landmark takeover completed in March.

Earlier this month, The TRADE revealed that the business had made significant changes within its execution services business, specifically the electronic trading area, as a result of increased operational complexity stemming from the transaction.
