Deutsche Bank promotes electronic trading head to equity chief

Deutsche Bank has appointed its electronic trading and program trading heads to jointly lead its European equity division.

Deutsche Bank has appointed its electronic trading and program trading heads to jointly lead its Europe equity division.

Andrew Morgan and Stuart McGuire have been named as co-heads of the German bank’s equity trading unit for EMEA.

Morgan was previously head of Autobahn Equity Europe, the bank’s electronic trading unit, while McGuire was promoted from his role as head of global program trading and the bank’s European cash equity single stock business.

Their responsibilities as co-heads will include oversight of the bank's European cash equity business, sales trading in EMEA and Autobahn.

McGuire first joined Deutsche Bank in 1995 from Merrill Lynch as a senior member of the its program trading division, responsible for agency and risk businesses. Morgan joined Deutsche Bank in 2004 following a six-year stint in the equities division at Goldman Sachs.
