Deutsche Börse launches new data product with TAIFEX

Taiwan Futures Exchange has been working alongside Deutsche Börse in various initiatives since 2014.

Deutsche Börse is expanding its partnership with the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) and has launched a real-time market data product on the Asian exchange group’s derivatives products.

Known as TAIFEX Derivatives Market Ultra, the market data includes pre- and post-trade information delivered in real time on all tradeable TAIFEX derivatives, including TAIEX futures, TAIEX options and Mini-TAIEX futures.

“The product launch marks another milestone in the successful market data partnership between Deutsche Börse and TAIFEX,” said Alireza Dorfard, head of data services at Deutsche Börse. “Clients can conveniently access data products offered by both exchanges under a single license agreement.”

Deutsche Börse has acted as the licensor of TAIFEX market data for international clients since 2016. It means that clients can access data products offered by both exchanges under a single license.

“In the future, market participants will be able to gain latest intelligence on market movements and discover trading opportunities,” added Chienlung Chou, senior executive vice president of TAIFEX. “The new Ultra product will also greatly strengthen investors’ capabilities of deploying various trading strategies between the cash and futures markets.”

The cooperation between the German exchange operator and TAIFEX first began in 2014, when daily futures on TAIFEX core products, TAIEX Futures and TAIEX Options, launched for trading on Deutsche Börse’s derivatives exchange Eurex. The two exchanges then expanded that partnership and entered into a market data deal.
