A DWS Group senior equity trader has departed for pastures new after over 16 years at the asset manager, The TRADE can reveal.
Alex Cotar has left the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank to join Bankhaus Metzler as an equity sales trader, according to an update on social media.
He joins Bankhaus Metzler after 16 years with DWS Group, having originally joined back in 2008 as a senior equity trader covering Europe and emerging markets.
“After more than 16 years at DWS Group, I have decided to leave the company. I am more than delighted to share that I will start a new job as equity sales trader at Bankhaus Metzler,” Cotar said in his update.
Prior to joining DWS Group in 2008, Cotar spent over 12 years at UBS Investment Bank originally serving in an equity derivatives sales trading role and later working as an equity trader for Europe.
