European investment group F&C Investments has implemented the Cadis enterprise data management (EDM) suite simultaneously with a Charles River trading platform.
Following a merger between F&C Management Holdings and ISIS Asset Management in 2004, F&C were left with two separate back-office systems feeding two separate trading platforms. Implementation of the Cadis EDM suite will now give F&C greater control over its data and means they can now migrate to a single trading platform.
F&C believe the Cadis EDM suite will be the most effective solution due to its ability to process corporate data, while also enabling the firm to consolidate disparate data sources.
The implementation of the Charles River trading platform and the Cadis EDM suite in F&C’s London, Amsterdam, Edinburgh and Dublin offices allows the firm to feed data from its back-office systems through the EDM suite into the Charles River platform and replace its old systems.
“The Cadis EDM Suite has not only given us the ability to deliver immediate benefits to our business but also a solid foundation to deliver our strategic goal of providing timely, accurate, complete and consistent data to our core applications,” said F&C’s information architect Peter Collins in a statement.
Now that F&C is running a single trading platform and has the Cadis EDM Suite in place, it plans to implement a single back-office system later this year.
