Fidelity equity trader departs for pastures new after 22 years

Departing trader originally joined Fidelity International in 2000, moving to Fidelity Investment’s Hong Kong office in 2010.

A Fidelity Investments equity trader has left the firm after over two decades for a new opportunity, The TRADE can reveal.

Robert Chapman has left for privately-owned investment management firm, American Century, as a senior trader, according to an update on social media.

Chapman had been with Fidelity for 22 years, originally joining Fidelity International in 2000 as an equity trader. He later joined sister company Fidelity Investments when it set up its Hong Kong office in 2010 to cover Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and India.

He moved back to London in 2015, also in an equity trading role.
