Former ICE Futures Europe president joins Qomply as advisor

New advisor at Qomply spent nearly 20 years at ICE, serving as its president for its European futures business for 11 and a half years.

The former president of ICE Futures Europe has joined transaction reporting technology firm, Qomply, as a strategic advisor.

David Peniket joins the tech firm after serving for 18 years at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), including 11 and a half years as president of its European futures business.

Since retiring from his role as president in 2017, Peniket served as chair of ICE Futures US and as a member of the LIBOR oversight committee at the exchange. Stuart Williams took over from Peniket as president later that year.

“David stands out as one of a small group of people in the financial industry who truly understands the ever-changing dynamic of financial markets and its participants,” said Michelle Zak, director at Qomply.

“Throughout his career, he has exemplified the acumen necessary to drive, grow and expand a company. It is always personally satisfying to see such a creative and adaptive mind in the industry, and we are excited that David is joining us.”

Qomply specialises in technology and automated services for transaction reporting accuracy and assurance across MiFIR, SFTR and EMIR regulation. Its flagship product – Report Assure  Suite – offers a subscription-based reporting service.

According to a study by Cappitech in November, 65% of firms were forced to overhaul their reporting in 2020 due to inefficiencies and errors.

“Qomply’s tools use technology to solve a pressing customer problem: how to provide executives, their boards and their regulators with assurance that their regulatory reporting is as complete and accurate as possible,” said Peniket.
