Shareholders in Financière Montmartre holdings, which own a majority stake in trading technology firm GL Trade, are considering strategic options, including withdrawing their participation. No decision has been taken yet, and Morgan Stanley is advising Financière Montmartre and its shareholders.

Financière Montmartre is jointly-owned by NYSE Euronext (57.8%) and the firm’s founders (42.2%). Financière Montmartre itself has a 55.2% stake in GL Trade, but some of the firm’s shareholders also own direct stakes in GL Trade. Together, Financière Montmartre and its shareholders own 63.9% of GL Trade.
