Laible takes on global performance role at Liquidnet

Industry veteran Rob Laible has joined Liquidnet as head of its global performance team.

Industry veteran Rob Laible has joined Liquidnet as head of its global performance team.

Laible, who has in recent years worked in various roles across Asia, will be based in New York and take responsibility for Liquidnet’s marketing, sales and execution, as well as algorithmic trading services, analytics and managing its liquidity partner relationships.

He joins Liquidnet from Macquarie Securities, where he was head of program trading and electronic execution for Asia. Laible has also worked at Nomura in Asia, where he was head of electronic trading and program trading sales, and at Lehman Brothers as head of prime services origination and electronic trading. He also spent over 10 years at ITG.

At Liquidnet, he will report to chief operating officer John Kelly, who said, “Bringing someone with Rob’s significant industry experience on board is a crucial step in being able to better deliver these value-added solutions in a compelling and seamless way.”
