LiquidityBook integrates benchmark data with platform

LiquidityBook’s POEMS platform integrates real-time reference data from FactSet.

LiquidityBook has teamed up with FactSet to integrate real-time global exchange reference and benchmark data into its buy and sell-side order, portfolio and execution platform (POEMS).

The integration will allow the platform’s users to access intraday holdings and portfolio analytics and optimisation tools.

Sean Sullivan, chief revenue officer at LiquidityBook, explained FactSet provides all the information needed to “streamline and accelerate buy-side workflow.”

“Its portfolio-specific information also helps to enhance the communication between trader and portfolio manager, strengthening a vital link on the buy-side desk,” he said.

US-based asset management firm Crow Point Partners announced in October it had implemented LiquidityBook’s POEMS platform.

Principal portfolio manager at Crow Point Partners, Peter DeCaprio, explained at the time POEMS – which couples OMS, EMS, PMS and FIX connectivity into a single platform – made “perfect sense” for the business.

“Traditionally deployed OMSs often include significant hidden costs related to the required physical infrastructure… LiquidityBook’s model makes the platform much simpler and less expensive to manage,” he added.
