NASDAQ OMX has opened a new office in Bangalore to focus on developing new technologies and working on expanding the reach of current products, such as its new investor relations platform.
NASDAQ OMX is a provider of trading, exchange technology, information and public company services. It said that it is expanding in India because it wants to deepen its business relationships within the Southeast Asia region.
Bob Waghorne, a senior vice president within global technology services at NASDAQ OMX said that the new Bangalore team will collaborate with colleagues elsewhere in the world to develop and deliver technology-oriented products.
His colleague, Robert Frojd, the firm’s regional manager for Southeast Asia, added that Asia had become a major growth market for the company, which was seeing demand for market technology and corporate solutions products, plus interest in new listings and indexes.
