RealTick, the operator of a global cross-asset execution management system (EMS), has added broker Bank of America Merrill Lynch's (BAML) pairs trading algorithm to the list of tools available on its EMS.

The algo, first announced by BAML in June, enables clients to execute US equity pairs trades. The tool contains SPREAD, RATIO, INVSPREAD and INVRATIO strategies with customisable parameters and summary views, and is available alongside the broker's other electronic trading tools for global equities, options and futures.

“Pairs trading has gained widespread adoption with clients engaged in relative value trading, so we are pleased to add BAML's latest pairs capabilities,” said Michel Finzi, global head of business development at RealTick.

In addition to BAML, the RealTick EMS includes functionality from brokers such as Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, Bulltick Capital Markets, CA Cheuvreux, Citigroup, ConvergEx Group, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Instinet, J.P. Morgan, Knight, Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Société Générale and UBS.
