Tora Trading Services, a provider of trade execution and order management systems for the Asian financial markets, has opened a Hong Kong office.

The company says Tora Trading Services Limited (Hong Kong) was established to meet the growing demand for local support, sales and implementation expertise by its clients in the region.

The Hong Kong office will double as the regional headquarters for Asia ex-Japan, coordinating its efforts with Tora’s other offices in Tokyo and San Francisco.

“Opening this office is very exciting for us as we can now offer our clients local support and expertise,” says Robert Dykes, a principal at the firm. “We realize that there is no substitute for an ‘on the ground’ presence and we are confident that this office will be a huge success and a tremendous resource for our client base.”

Chris Jenkins, Executive Director Asia Sales and Operations, will head up the office. “The market in Non-Japan Asia is booming and Tora is perfectly placed to offer much needed Asian expertise to the trading community,” he says. “The hosted multi-broker, multi product platform with an emphasis on high levels of support and integration capabilities is much needed in the Hedge Fund and Prop Desk space. The product can allow traders to take advantage of the latest technologies in trading and offer a system which allows high volume trading to be undertaken in a very efficient manner.”
