People Moves Monday: Bloomberg, RBC BlueBay AM, LSEG TORA and more…

The past week saw appointments across credit electronic trading, quantitative trading and equities.

Industry stalwart Dan Hinxman joined Bloomberg as head of European credit electronic trading following almost six years as managing director at TP ICAP. Previously, he served as global head of institutional sales at TP ICAP, and before that worked as head of sales EMEA and Asia Pacific at BGC Partners for two years. Earlier in his career, Hinxman also held senior positions at CME Group before departing in 2015, most recently working as head of sales and commercial development for CME Europe. His experience also encompasses hedge fund related roles, including futures and options trading and work on a fixed income desk.

RBC BlueBay Asset Management equity trader, Michael Tamou, left the asset manager to join Qube Research & Technologies (QRT). Tamou joined the quantitative and systematic investment manager as a quantitative trader after most recently serving as an equity trader at RBC BlueBay for nearly three years, according to an update on his social media. He originally joined the asset manager as an investment operations analyst in 2020. Previously in his career, he spent a year as an operation analyst at Liquidnet.

Chris Jenkins, managing director and global head of sales, professional services and support at LSEG TORA announced his departure following almost two decades with the business. Prior to his 17-year stint at TORA, Jenkins was managing director at Caspian, now LSEG Data and Analytics. Before that, he was co-head of Asia Pacific at FIX Protocol. Throughout his career Jenkins has also worked at SWIFT, Macgregor, and AXA Investment Managers.

Jefferies’ managing director and head of US equity distribution in Europe, Guy Trust, left the bank after nearly a decade to join Daiwa Capital Markets Europe. He joined the investment banking arm of Daiwa Securities Group as its new head of equities after nine and a half years with Jefferies, having joined in 2014 in his most recent role. Prior to joining Jefferies, he spent just under a decade at Morgan Stanley as an executive director covering US equity sales in London and Scandinavia. Previously in his career, he spent two years at Praeda Capital and a year at London Capital Group, both in trading roles focused on arbitrage strategies. He began his career as a junior portfolio manager at RSA covering US equities.
