Low-latency trading technology provider, Reactive Markets, has secured a Series A investment led by venture capital firm, 13books, The TRADE can reveal.
The financing is set to support Reactive Markets’ expansion into new markets, and build on its current established FX offering, which spans a network of more than 60 market makers with almost 100 institutional clients.
Specifically, the investment from 13books will also allow Reactive Markets to address growing demand for bilateral trading technology, and expand into new asset classes and markets, such as equities.
Speaking to The TRADE, Phil Morris, chief executive of Reactive Markets, said: “We built Reactive Markets from the ground up to deliver a new standard in bilateral trading technology. Having established ourselves in FX, we’re now leading the way in bringing the benefits of bilateral liquidity to equities, giving participants better access to liquidity and more effective execution.”

Currently, Reactive Markets operates daily FX trading volumes exceeding $80 billion.
In addition, the investment will also enable Reactive Markets to expand its global offering and expand its teams across London, New York and Singapore.
Commenting on this, Morris added: “We’ll continue investing in the latency, reliability and resilience of our platform, expand our equities offering to give clients more ways to access bilateral liquidity, and accelerate our investment in real-time data and analytics to help participants optimise their liquidity relationships and achieve better trading outcomes.
“Our ambition is to build the trusted infrastructure for bilateral trading across FX, equities and beyond, combining technology, liquidity access and expertise to help every participant on our network trade more effectively.”
