Seilern Investment Management has appointed John Grant as its new head of trading.
Grant has been promoted to the role, having spent six and a half years at the firm.
He most recently served as trading and operations manager, with responsibilities covering the management of trade execution and investment operations.
Elsewhere in his tenure at Seilern, Grant served as an equity trader.

Before joining Seilern, Grant spent three years at Barings Asset Management where he held positions covering multi-asset investment and pan-European equities.
Grant began his career at J O Hambro Capital Management, where he most recently held a global equity operations-related position.
“We’re pleased to announce John Grant’s promotion to head of trading. This promotion reflects our commitment to nurturing talent internally and is a recognition of John’s strong track record over the past seven years with Seilern Investment Management,” a spokesperson for the firm told The TRADE.
The last few months have seen a string of head of trading appointments across the buy-side. Most recently, Nicholas Zerante was named head of trading at Delta Global Management, based in New York.

Elsewhere, Germain Carton was appointed head of trading at Alana Capital following almost six years at Greenwich Dealing.
