SGX hires new chief regulatory officer

The Singapore Exchange has announced that Tan Boon Gin will take the job of chief regulatory officer in June 2015.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced that Tan Boon Gin will take the job of chief regulatory officer in June 2015. He will replace Richard Ten, who left SGX last month.

Between now and June, Yeo Lian Sim will carry out the job. He has been acting as a special adviser to SGX, having formerly been the exchange’s chief risk and regulatory officer.

Tan is currently director of the commercial affairs department, which is part of the Singapore police force.

He has worked as a district judge at Singapore’s Subordinate Courts before being seconded to the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he held appointments as director of the enforcement division, director of the corporate finance division and executive director of the investment intermediaries department.
