French investment firm Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking is expanding its UK cash equities team with the addition of two new hires to its London office.

Edwin Hagan-Emmin, a former proprietary trader at Morgan Stanley, joins SocGen as a director within its global equity flow division, covering hedge fund clients with cash and flow derivatives solutions. Hagan-Emmin has also already had 16-month stint at SocGen, working as a technology, media and telecommunications sales specialist.

In addition, Pierre de Pelleport has been hired as a director of the bank's cash equity sales desk.

Pelleport has 17 years' experience at defunct UK-based investment firm Dresdner Kleinwort in London, working with pan-European stocks and hedge funds. He has also previously worked for former London-based investment bank SG Warburg in UK and pan-European sales.

Both Hagan-Emmin and Pelleport will report to Derek Hammond, head of pan-European sales.
