Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking has hired Peter McGahan as its new global head of pan-European cash equity sales.
McGahan, who started his new role on 3 January, will hold responsibility for strengthening the firm's European cash equity sales franchise.
He replaces Anne Bellavoine, who has taken a new role at SocGen as a client relationship manager for financial institutions within the firm's coverage and investment banking division. McGahan will report to David Escoffier, global co-head of global equity flow.
Prior to joining SocGen, McGahan spent two decades at investment bank Citigroup, where he held a number of positions including head of equity product sales and distribution for Europe and senior relationship manager.
