SunGard has released a new version (4.1) of its referencePoint reference and market data application. The company says the new version includes better performance and greater flexibility within its configuration and workbench tools, reporting, and historical data archives.

“ReferencePoint 4.1 provides expanded capabilities that help organizations to more efficiently configure, normalize and report on data across sources,” says Janet Crowley, president of SunGard’s referencePoint business. “We are also focusing on integration with other SunGard solutions, such as Adaptiv, by supporting a common framework consistently across SunGard solutions. With many years of domain and market data expertise, we remain committed to the enterprise data management discipline and the success of the referencePoint solution.”

ReferencePoint4.1 aims to simplify new database setup, administration and navigation throughout data. It provides users with features for identifying exceptions and problems, and includes reports on multiple data sets. Version 4.1 also allows data across sources to be normalized onto a common model, and introduces an intelligent matching engine and workflow for supporting consolidation across sources.
