Nordic financial institution Swedbank has implemented the new smart order routing (SOR) module of Front Arena, a cross-asset trading platform from technology provider SunGard.
Swedbank already uses Front Arena’s trading and execution capabilities, along with a rules engine which helps the bank to automate its order flow. SunGard said the integration of Front Arena’s smart order routing functionality with the system’s rules engine will ensure orders are executed effectively on multiple venues. It will also help the bank reduce operational risk by providing trading transparency in a multi-market environment, the firm added.
