The adoption includes Bloomberg’s order and investment management solution, AIM, portfolio and risk analytics platform PORT Enterprise and cloud-based analytics offering BQuant Enterprise.

The move will support various sectors of GKB’s offering, including optimising investment workflows across the front office, providing investment teams with portfolio and risk analytics capabilities integrated into their daily investment processes, and bolstering the firm’s quantitative research and investment business.

Jose Ribas, global head of buy-side solutions at Bloomberg, said: “Graubündner Kantonalbank’s adoption of BQuant Enterprise alongside Bloomberg’s AIM and PORT Enterprise solutions creates a unified workflow for quantitative research, portfolio monitoring and bespoke reporting.

“By integrating on demand analytics, custom investment models and sustainability data into one workflow, the bank is strengthening its ability to scale innovation across both its investment, research and reporting functions.”

The integration of BQuant Enterprise specifically will also see GKB converting from Matlab and Excel to expand further into Python, to integrate real-time analytics, interactive scoring and backtesting capabilities into the bank’s multi-factor investment models.

Moreover, the adoption builds on GKB’s currently usage of Bloomberg solutions, including the Terminal and Bloomberg indices.

Gian Raffainer, head investment centre at GKB, commented: “By expanding our use of Bloomberg’s AIM, PORT Enterprise and BQuant Enterprise, we are strengthening the connectivity across our investment workflows while supporting the continued development of our quantitative research and sustainability reporting capabilities.

“Ultimately, it allows us to create and manage our investment solutions in the most professional way and in the best interest of our investors.”
