More institutions are expected to join the venue as live market operations progress; news follows FCA authorisation of BPX in June 2025 to operate a regulated marketplace for traditional and tokenised securities.
The past week was one for the books in terms of people moves, with a new buy-side head of ETF capital markets for EMEA and APAC, as well as senior positions across the sell-side spanning market structure, equities, rates and derivatives.
New hire is set to support the development of Investec’s ZebrA-X platform, and has also previously served at firms including Numis Securities and Canaccord Genuity.
Appointment brings more than a decade of equities sales trading experience to his new position, and also served at Numis Securities earlier in his career.
Investec has made two hires from Winterflood Securities, appointing a new head and deputy head of its fixed income and ETF offering; appointments follow news in July that Marex is set to acquire Winterflood Securities in early 2026.
