Broker BTIG has made two senior hires in Europe to grow its institutional equities business.
Matthew Rubens joins BTIG as a managing director having spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs where he was most recently head of emerging markets execution across London, Moscow and Dubai.
At BTIG he will take responsibility for growing sales in institutional equities across both developed and emerging markets.
John McPate will serve as managing director and global technology sales specialist. His role will involve developing the firm’s technology offering and expertise.
McPate previous worked as global technology specialist for JP Morgan, where he focused on global technology stocks and growth of the technology industry. He began his career in the electronics industry before specialising in technology investment.
