Olivetree selects Markit for securities finance data

Market data provider Markit will provide joint customers with securities lending data through Olivetree’s OTAS platform.

OTAS provides Olivetree clients with equity analytics and trading indicators that help asset managers improve execution. Markit’s data will help users improve trading decisions and alert them to changes in sentiment and supply risks.

SunGard Astec Analytics includes reporting

SunGard has introduced reporting services to its Astec Analytics solutions suite giving customers greater reporting functionality, which includes producing custom reports and analysis.

Astec Analytics Reporting Services offers users the ability to create customised securities lending reports for independent analysis and accurate performance benchmarking. These will include reports about what is borrowed and lent against which collateral and for what fees.

“Access to clear and concise reporting is essential in order to achieve transparency and mitigate risk in securities finance,” said Tim Smith, executive vice president, SunGard’s Astec Analytics.

Societe Generale adds cash bond prices to Thomson Reuters platform

Societe Generale will list cash bond prices on Thomson Reuters Fixed Income Trading, the firm’s electronic bond trading platform.

The platform offers fixed income liquidity to private bank and wealth management execution desks and supports the complete trade workflow from price discovery through to execution and notification.

“The addition of Thomson Reuters Fixed Income Trading to our direct-to-customer platform services further expands our electronic price distribution and execution footprint and enables us to reach a broader regional client base,” said Olivier Gazzolo, global head of FIC Credit Platform at Societe Generale.

NYSE Technology and KOSCOM sign connectivity agreement

NYSE Technologies and KOSCOM, the technology firm created by the Korean Ministry of Finance and Korea Exchange, have signed an agreement to cross-connect respective membership hubs to facilitate greater cross-border trading.

The global trading hub connectivity agreement lets clients of NYSE Technology’s MarketplaceTM community connect to KOSCOM’s STP Hub of 130 key Korean firms, including streamlined FIX connectivity and access to liquidity venues.

"This agreement reinforces the cooperation program between NYSE Technologies and KOSCOM to promote international capital market flows premised on joint technology solutions," said Daniel Burgin, head of NYSE Technologies Asia-Pacific.

"The seamless linkage of our MarketplaceTM community network in collaboration with KOSCOM's straight-through-processing FIX network represents an important next step towards creating a powerful joint offering for the Korean market, the Asia-Pacific region and the global capital markets community."

DST Global Solutions appoints Robert Leaper

Investment solutions provide DST Global Solutions has hired Robert Leaper as head of business development for North America.

Leaper will drive the acquisition and support of new clients for DST’s Anova post-trade data management product suite.

Leaper joins from financial services technology provider Eagle Investment Systems where he was head of sales and marketing.
