Trading technology firm Advent Software has linked its Moxy OMS order management system to the trading platforms offered by BIDS Trading, a US alternative trading system operator. The integration will grant Moxy OMS’s users real-time access to the liquidity available through BIDS.
BIDS currently operates BIDS ATS, a block trading venue for both buy- and sell-side firms with continuous order matching and trade negotiation, and the New York Block Exchange (NYBX), a joint venture with exchange group NYSE Euronext, which also trades blocks by allowing non-displayed liquidity to interact with displayed and reserve liquidity on NYSE.
“Partnering with Advent brings BIDS Trading a step closer to achieving our goal of creating an open, flexible platform for institutional investors to anonymously execute block trades,” said Tim Mahoney, CEO, BIDS Trading, in a statement.
Tim Decker, product manager electronic trading connectivity at Advent, added, “The integration between Moxy and the BIDS ATS responds to our clients’ needs for real-time liquidity access and the high-powered tools necessary to compete in today’s markets.”
