Asset management firm AllianceBernstein has implemented trading software company Portware’s Enterprise trading platform at its offices in the UK and Hong Kong. The rollout to AllianceBernstein’s international offices follows successful installation of the system at its US locations.

Portware Enterprise is a customisable, FIX-compliant trade management and execution system for portfolio, basket, single stock, automated and algorithmic trading. The system allows its users to create, implement and modify trading strategies and algorithms ‘on the fly’.

The Portware Enterprise user interface also enables traders to manage real-time market data and perform real-time charting, reporting and transaction cost analysis. Since its launch in 2002, the platform has been installed at over 100 buy- and sell-side firms worldwide.

“Portware’s Enterprise product is a great fit in meeting our global trading and workflow requirements, while the system’s open architecture allows us to customise Portware to meet our specific trading and compliance needs,” said Michael Schwartz, chief operating officer of global equity trading at AllianceBernstein, in a statement. “Portware offers truly global support, with teams in London and Hong Kong that can work closely with our local traders and IT personnel.”
