ASX partners with Beeks to power colocation infrastructure

The collaboration aims to break down barriers of entry to Australia’s markets, and provide infrastructure which directly connects to ASX’s data centre, the Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC).

Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has partnered with technology provider Beeks Financial Cloud Group to provide clients with colocation infrastructure to connect to the Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC).

The new integration sees Beek’s Exchange Cloud powering ASX’s new Colo OnDemand solution to supply a fully managed Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering to provide access to on-demand cloud computing and high-performance trading infrastructure within the ALC.

A key focus of the partnership is on providing easier access into the Australian financial markets, and breaking down barriers of entry for firms of all sizes.

Jamie Crank, group executive, technology and data at ASX said: “This new offering puts the needs of our customers first and has the potential to benefit an underserved market segment, such as buy-side firms, niche and smaller broker and investment firms, and emerging software providers.”

The new solution is also expected to address ongoing challenges of latency, cost and complexities associated with clients managing their own infrastructure.

“This collaboration demonstrates ASX’s commitment to helping their customers access the most liquid markets in Australia and beyond, through secure, scalable and flexible infrastructure,” said Gordon McArthur, chief executive at Beeks.

“By adopting our Exchange Cloud solution, ASX can provide enhanced connectivity and analytics while giving market participants greater control over their trading environments.”

The move follows recent developments for ASX across multiple operations. In February 2025, the exchange became one of the latest derivatives venues to be included in BMLL’s coverage, with level three order book data for ASX 24’s XSFE made available in the BMLL Data Lab.
