London-based Field is set to report to Ian Raindell in the new role, The TRADE understands.
Both Barclays and Bank of America declined to comment when approached by The TRADE.
The appointment follows a string of significant hires for Barclays across 2026.
The new roles include a new US real money FX sales head, who joined from JP Morgan earlier this month, as well as the appointment of a New-York based global head of securitised products, and a new London-based director, EMEA electronic sales.
