BlackRock strikes multi-year partnership with Adroit Trading Technologies

The integration will bring third-party execution management technology into BlackRock's Aladdin platform.

BlackRock has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Adroit Trading Technologies, in a move set to boost cross-asset trading.

The agreement will see Adroit’s execution management capabilities made available to mutual clients directly from the Aladdin platform.

Specifically, the partnership is intended to streamline the trading process and improve operational efficiency.

Anil Jaglan, chief executive of Adroit, commented: “For many years, I have greatly admired the scale and comprehensiveness of the Aladdin platform, and over time I have come to know the passionate, high-integrity, and customer-focused team behind it.

“I could not be more excited to collaborate with such an exceptional institution – and to give our mutual clients an elegant solution.”

The integration comes as Adroit continues to build out its footprint across the trading landscape, particularly across OTC products.

Currently, the OTC market is undergoing significant change, driven by electronification, a rise in the number of electronic liquidity providers, a proliferation of trading protocols, and innovation in risk-transfer instruments such as portfolio trading.

Adding to a string of Aladdin integrations this year, BlackRock struck similar partnerships with Trumid in June and Deutsche Bank’s HausFX platform in February.
