BNP Paribas replaces retiring EMEA head of cash equities execution

New head of cash equities execution for EMEA originally joined BNP Paribas Exane in 2019 and also previously spent 14 years at Morgan Stanley.

BNP Paribas has selected one of its own, Brian Gallagher, to replace retiring head of cash equities execution for EMEA, Antoine Bisson, The TRADE can reveal.

Bisson has held the role for the last 10 years, also previously serving at Deutsche Bank as head of execution services for EMEA and Morgan Stanley as its head of program trading for continental Europe.

Gallagher, who has been based in New York with BNP Paribas Exane since 2019, will assume the role based in London, according to an internal memo seen by The TRADE.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he also served across various roles at Instinet and BIDS Trading and notably spent 14 years at Morgan Stanley in electronic trading and Delta One focused roles.

“Brian’s energy, ambition and leadership will be essential as we combine our execution teams and product inside BNPP,” said Ben Spruntulis, head of cash equities at BNP Paribas in the memo.

“We have very big ambitions within EMEA execution, and we look forward to working with Brian as we deliver on the next exciting phase of our growth plan.”
