Trading technology vendor Fidessa has added São Paulo-based broker Alpes to its sell-side connectivity network.
The agreement means Alpes will be able to provide its execution services in the Brazilian to counterparties across the world.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Fidessa's community because it is a natural fit with our strategy to offer customers a high-quality network and DMA access to liquidity venues,” said Pedro Machado, head of institutional sales, Alpes. “The partnership with Fidessa also supports our goal to transform Brazil into one of the leading financial markets in the southern hemisphere.”
“We are seeing a huge surge of activity in Brazil at the moment and Alpes's addition to our community is a further demonstration of the growth in the Latin American region and its position on the world stage,” added Alice Botis, head of business development, Latin America, Fidessa.
Fidessa's global connectivity network also includes 18 Latin American brokers, such as Celfin Capital, InterBolsa Comisionista de Bolsa, ICAP Brazil, Interacciones Casa de Bolsa, Itau Securities and IXE.
