Kenneth Byrne has been named the new head of sales (Americas) for technology provider and agency broker ConvergEx's global execution platform RealTick.
Byrne will be based in ConvergEx's New York corporate headquarters and will report to Daniel Rooney, president of ConvergEx's RealTick.
Byrne joins RealTick from cloud middleware services provider FlexiSphere, a company he cofounded two years ago. Prior to founding FlexiSphere, he was an executive vice president at Reuters and executive vice president for Calypso Technologies. Earlier in his career, he was an index futures trader and marketing executive for the New York Stock Exchange.
