US institutional broker Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS) has adopted SS&C Technologies’ Lightning TradeDesk to power its institutional fixed income trading business.
CAPIS said it needed to increase the speed of its execution offering while also cutting costs in order to meet client needs. It also sought a system that would give a consolidated view of its trading with access to positions and risk management.
SS&C’s platform will enable CAPIS to automatically clear its fixed income trades through Bank of America Merrill Lynch and monitor its trades electronically in real-time.
"We replaced our current provider with SS&C's integrated solution. Lightning TradeDesk supports our specific requirements and covers all our front-office operations’ trading requirements in a cost-effective way,” said David Lee, vice president and director of fixed income trading at CAPIS.
