Capital Group analyst joins Columbia Threadneedle equity trading desk

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has welcomed Francesca Mace Wilson to the EMEA equity trading desk, following more than five years at Capital Group, The TRADE can reveal.

The move sees her leaving her role as senior investment control analyst at Capital Group, which she had held since October 2022.

“Welcoming Francesca Mace Wilson to the EMEA Equity trading desk at Columbia Threadneedle Investments,” said head of EMEA equity trading at Columbia Threadneedle, Michael Johnson, in an update on social media.

“Francesca joins us having spent five years at Capital Group and, in addition to trading equities, will help us enhance our position across the capital markets structure.”

She has also worked extensively across the firm, starting out as an investment control associate in March 2019 before moving on to an analyst role.

Prior to this, Mace Wilson held previous positions at Titan Institutional Services, working across wealth management, prime brokerage and sales.

She began her career at HSBC, working in payment and cash management, and trading assistant roles in both Paris and London.

“Columbia Threadneedle Investments can confirm Francesca Mace Wilson has joined the EMEA equity trading team as an associate equity trader,” a spokesperson for Columbia Threadneedle said.

“As well as Francesca’s trading responsibilities, she will also lead the internal coordination of capital markets across Europe.”
