Cboe has expanded its offering for select multi-listed equity and exchange-traded fund (ETF) options, which are now available to trade during extended pre-market and post-market sessions on its Cboe Options Exchange (C1).

Trading began on 19 October 2026, and the pre-market session runs from 7:30am to 9:25am ET and the post-market session from 4pm to 4:15pm ET, Monday to Friday.
C1 is currently the only US options exchange offering pre- and post-market sessions for index options. With this launch, it now offers extended hours for some US single-stock and ETF options.
Rob Hocking, global head of derivatives at Cboe, said: “The shift to 24/5 trading across asset classes is only accelerating, and that’s been apparent in the demand for Cboe’s index options during non-traditional hours, particularly leading up to the US market open when economic data and corporate announcements are commonly released.
“Now, with the addition of extended trading hours for options on single stocks and ETFs, global investors will be able to manage positions and risk with more flexibility in many of the names that drive today’s market.”

The underlying symbols include widely followed US-listed names such as AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, META, TSLA and PLTR, as well as major ETFs including SPY, QQQ, IWM, GLD and XLF.
Cboe confirmed that several brokers are offering, or plan to offer, access to the new sessions, such as Moomoo US – which is among those offering access from launch.
Neil McDonald, chief executive of Moomoo US, said: “We’re proud to partner with Cboe to offer our customers access to extended trading hours for select equity options from day one. Earnings announcements and economic developments don’t follow the market’s trading schedule.
“This expansion gives retail investors more flexibility to manage their positions and respond to market-moving news before the opening bell and after the close.”
Cboe already offers near 24/5 trading in several of its proprietary index options which trade during its Global Trading Hours (GTH) session, from 8:15pm to 9:25am ET, and its Curb Trading Hours session, from 4:15pm to 5pm ET.

Cboe plans to launch 23/5 trading on its Cboe BZX Exchange on 6 December, subject to industry readiness.
