As part of this move, Hewson will report to Conor Davis, global head of financial institutions sales and solutions (FISS), The TRADE understands.

Hewson has been with Citi for 20 years, assuming the global leadership of digital FX solutions in 2018 before becoming head of EMEA CSS in 2021.

Earlier this week, Citi created another role – head of global rates algo trading – with Jamie Mortimore assuming the position.

Mortimore previously worked for Citi for almost 15 years (before departing in 2016), and re-joined Citi to focus on growing the global rates algo trading team, responsible for the research, development and execution of the rates algorithmic trading strategies.
