Citi has reshuffled its global equities management team and appointed Dan Keegan to lead the investment bank’s US equities team.
Keegan takes over as head of equities, Americas, from Rick Bartlett, who has been on extended medical leave and is unlikely to return to the role, according to a memo seen by theTRADEnews.com.
“Dan brings to this role a wide range of experience in managing broad teams of professionals, a dedication to innovation and an in-depth understanding of our client base and culture,” read the memo.
Kevin Russell will assume Keegan’s former role as head of global cash trading, in addition to his existing responsibilities as head of trading, Americas.
Citi also announced the departure of Shakil Ahmed, who has spent five years in various roles in the firm’s capital advisors and equities team, including head of quantitative strategies for equity markets and head of electronic market making.
