ConvergEx Group, an agency brokerage and trading technology firm, has opened a representative sales office in Sydney, Australia for its Eze OMS (order management system).
Christopher O’Connor has been named head of Australian sales for the Eze OMS and will be based in the new office, which will include client service teams dedicated to supporting all aspects of the Eze OMS.
O’Connor is a ConvergEx veteran who was most recently director of European sales for ConvergEx’s Eze Castle Software division, which developed the Eze OMS.
His role will be assumed by Christopher Kyriakou, who joins the firm from Global View Software where he was director of sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, responsible for all regional strategic planning.
In his new role at ConvergEx, Kyriakou, who will be based in London, will be charged with overseeing European sales and business development for the Eze OMS.
Both Kyriakou and O’Connor will report to Sean Sullivan, executive vice president and head of global sales for Eze Castle Software.
“Leveraging the extensive knowledge of Mr. O’Connor will enable ConvergEx to grow our product reach in Australia, an important and growing market,” said Sullivan in a statement. “We are also very pleased to welcome Mr. Kyriakou to ConvergEx. He has over 18 years of regional sales experience and a proven track record that will play a key role in further expanding our European presence. Both gentlemen have led highly successful business development strategies, established key client relationships and possess deep knowledge of financial technology solutions.”
According to ConvergEx, its Eze OMS uses a real-time open architecture to help streamline the investment cycle for all asset classes, from idea generation through to settlement. The Eze OMS supports portfolio management, compliance, trading and operations in a single platform.
