Credit Suisse taps Barclays for EMEA equities head

Mike Di Iorio joins Credit Suisse from Barclays where he was global head of equity sales.

The former global head of equity sales at Barclays is set to join Credit Suisse as head of equities EMEA, according to an internal memo seen by The TRADE.

Mike Di Iorio will join Credit Suisse in London at the end of August and will report to head of equities, Mike Stewart.

A spokesperson confirmed the contents of memo.

At Barclays, Di Iorio was head of equities for APAC for three years before covering the derivatives, equity finance and cash markets as global head of equity sales.

He has also held several positions with Lehman and Nomura where he managed flow equity derivatives, delta1, cash trading and quantitative prop trading.

Di Iorio will also be the registered senior manager for equities at Credit Suisse from a regulatory perspective and will report to David Mathers, CEO for CSi/CSSEL, with respect to this role.
