US-based asset management firm Crow Point Partners has completed the implementation of LiquidityBook’s portfolio, order and execution management system platform (POEMS).
The platform will run across Crow Point’s front, middle and back-office operations to support its global multi-asset trading businesses.
LiquidityBook’s POEMS platform is also connected to the FIX network, which Crow Point will use to connect and manage risk with other connected brokers.
Principal portfolio manager at Crow Point Partners, Peter DeCaprio, explained that POEMS – which couples OMS, EMS, PMS and FIX connectivity into a single platform – made “perfect sense” for the business.
“Traditionally deployed OMSs often include significant hidden costs related to the required physical infrastructure… LiquidityBook’s model makes the platform much simpler and less expensive to manage,” he added.
Chief revenue officer at LiquidityBook, Sean Sullivan, said front-office trading software has been expensive “for too long”.
“We think we’ve solved many of these issues with our comprehensive and cost-effective platform, and are starting to see real momentum with it,” he explained.
