Daiwa hires DCM director in London

Daiwa Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Japan’s Daiwa Securities Group, has hired Bhavin Shah as a director for the firm’s debt capital markets business.

Daiwa Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Japan’s Daiwa Securities Group, has hired Bhavin Shah as a director for the firm’s debt capital markets (DCM) business.

Shah, who will be based in London, will be responsible for providing Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa coverage, in addition to the UK and Ireland. He reports directly to Vince Purton, London-based managing director and head of debt capital markets at Daiwa Europe.

Previously Shah was at Mizuho for nine years where he worked in the debt syndicate and debt origination teams.

Daiwa Capital Markets, the wholly-owned international investment banking arm of Japanese financial services provider Daiwa Securities Group, provides services including brokerage, capital raising, IPOs and M&A via 20 offices across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
