Direct Edge ECN has surpassed a volume of 50 million shares for its Enhanced Liquidity Provider (ELP) programme, setting a new daily volume record.

On April 23, Direct Edge’s overall touched volume reached over 595.3 million shares, with ELP accounting for 8.4% of the total.

Direct Edge’s ELP programme offers subscribers access to multiple sources of displayed and dark liquidity.

“Combined with our dual platforms, the ELP programme allows Direct Edge to offer aggregated access to diverse types of liquidity in a high-volume displayed market,” said William O’Brien, CEO of Direct Edge ECN, in a statement.
