London-based consultancy Etheios has joined forces with ComplySoft, a compliance and risk management technology provider, to offer compliance consultancy and software to financial services businesses in Europe.<1--break-->
ComplySoft, which already has a number of major financial services clients outside Europe, offers software and pre-configured legislation data that aims to simplify complex regulatory data into an easily understandable and searchable format. It also provides continuous updates of legislative changes. Etheios will provide the European financial services regulatory expertise to create a full service risk evaluation and compliance solution, it says.
“The current regulatory environment within the financial services industry makes Board directors accountable for compliance,” explains Sharon Constancon, Managing Director of ComplySoft. “However, most senior executives do not have the time to focus on the practical application and control of this responsibility. Stewart Copland, Consulting Director of Etheios, says the combination of software and expertise will help clients meet their regulatory obligations. “As well as offering a complete embedded compliance management system, we can also create stand-alone tools for individual projects with specific legislation requirements, such as MiFID, or a one off heat map tool to help understand the risk management ‘hotspots’ within an organization,” he says.
