Former BarCap head boosts LCH’s regulatory team

Anglo-French clearing house LCH.Clearnet Group has appointed Lisa Rosen to oversee the firm’s regulatory and lobbying activities.

Rosen will take the role of group head of compliance and public affairs at the clearer having held a similar position as global head of regulatory affairs at Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of the UK’s Barclays Bank. Prior to working at Barclays Capital, Rosen spent a decade at Merrill Lynch, where she was latterly head of litigation and contentious regulatory matters in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In her new role, Rosen will report to LCH.Clearnet group COO Christophe Hémon.

“I am delighted to be joining LCH.Clearnet at this exciting time, when clearing is at the forefront of regulatory and legislative developments,” said Rosen. “Recent events have demonstrated the critical role played by LCH.Clearnet in mitigating systemic risk across a broad range of markets.”

The London Stock Exchange Group is currently locked in exclusive discussions with LCH.Clearnet with view to a potential takeover, although no definitive date has been given on when a decision will be made.
