Former Hotspot FX financial chief joins TradingScreen

TradingScreen appoints new CFO, while its current strategy chief will assume expanded role as chief operating officer.

TradingScreen has made two new appointments in its senior management team and hired the former chief financial officer (CFO) of Hotpsot FX for the same role.

Rishi Gupta has more than 20 years’ experience working in finance, accounting and operations. He most recently worked as the CFO at a private equity firm and prior to that was CFO for Hotspot FX, the institutional FX trading platform now known as Cboe FX.

Alongside TradingScreen’s appointment of Gupta as its new CFO, the order and execution management system (OEMS) specialist’s current chief strategy officer, Varghese Thomas, will take on an additional role as chief operating officer.

Thomas joined TradingScreen in 2016 and has taken on a number of COO-related responsibilities since December 2017, including identifying new revenue streams and building out strategic partnerships.

“We are delighted to continue to attract and retain top talent that drives TradingScreen’s success with customers, partners, and employees,” said TradingScreen’s chief executive, Pierre Schroeder. “Rishi brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a strategic approach to TS along with his experience and expertise, which will no doubt be an asset to our company.

“Also, with the expansion of Varghese’s role, we’ve set the stage to execute on our strategy across our core OEMS, FX fixed income, and wealth management businesses as well as our innovation incubator.”
