Former chief operating officer for CME Europe joins Capco

David Feltes served as COO of CME Europe from 2012 until 2016 and was previously CEO of proprietary market maker Marquette Partners.

Technology consultancy Capco has appointed a former chief operating officer at CME Europe as its UK financial markets infrastructure (FMI) practice lead.

David Feltes joins Capco in the senior role with 28 years’ experience in the industry. He has previously spent 13 years as chief executive of proprietary market maker Marquette Partners, and three years as a principal for Oliver Wyman Group in capital markets and market structure consulting.

From 2010 until 2016, Feltes also worked at derivatives exchange group CME Europe and was the chief operating officer for four years. In the role, he founded and led the development of the exchange group’s European Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) business.

“FMIs role and influence within capital markets continues to grow, from electronification of markets through clearing and settlement and enhanced market data offerings to new payment technologies,” said Owen Jelf, global head of capital markets at Capco.

“Dave’s appointment further enhances Capco’s expertise in this evolving space, particularly in the areas of digitalisation, data, operational resilience, regulation, and new technologies as we look to support our clients to adapt and grow.”

In May, Capco appointed Alla Gancz head of digital for the UK, focusing on new technologies to overhaul processes and client experiences. Gancz was formerly digital transformation lead for financial services Europe at digital services consultancy, Infosys.
