Capital markets management and consultancy firm Grey Spark Partners has added an ex-Goldman Sachs director to its investment banking operations team, as the firm looks to develop its full service capabilities.

Jamie Lake joins as managing consultant, reporting to Bradley Wood, partner at Grey Spark. Lake was at Goldman Sachs for five years, most recently as executive director for business and industry initiatives in the firm’s collateral department. Prior to his roles at Goldman Sachs, Lake worked as a senior associate at Morgan Stanley, responsible for over-the-counter equity derivatives and also set up and managed his own consulting practice that restructured middle office operations at major financial institutions.

“The investment banking sector has come under unprecedented pressure in recent times and there is a renewed focus on operating responsibly and efficiently, and delivering real value,” commented Lake. “Grey Spark is committed to these principles and is extremely well placed within the City to help its clients achieve them.”
